The Perfect Duo: High Waisted Pants & Ankara Crop Top

I wish I could say that crop tops and high waisted pants are one of my go to looks for effortless chic, but it really isn’t. Mainly because finding the right high waisted pants for my plus size figure is quite exhausting really. There really is no formula for it to be honest. I pulled this look off basically because this jogger is from my size 24/26 days, and now its really massive around the waist and creates a nice gathered effect. I don’t even bother trying on “high waisted” pants in my size these days because they all seem to be lacking the basic knowledge that most plus size women tend to have some sort of tummy bulge. Anyways, that’ll be a discussion for another day.
I paired it with this Ankara cropped top which I made a couple of months ago and I must say, I love how this came together. Another plus, the comfort level of this outfit was unprecedented.

Denim Shift Dress & Open Toe Booties

Nothing beats the comfort of a shift dress. Add denim to the mix, and I’m a goner. The versatility of this dress knows no boundaries. I’ve paired it with pumps for a more sophisticated look and with caged sandals for an edgy look. Today, with these open toe booties just because I’m craving fall.
Finding the right shift dress can be tricky with a plus size figure, so a trick that has worked for me is going up one to two sizes to achieve the right fit.

Miracle Vest by Squeem: A Review.

Shapewear. One of the most sacred item in most women’s armoire. Finding the right shape wear can be an extremely frustrating and sometimes emotional experience, and this I know from experience.
When Squeem contacted me and asked me to review their Miracle Vest, I was psyched because I am no stranger to their products.
I decided to showcase the vest by wearing it under a super body conscious dress and I must say that it is a miracle. It smoothens, it controls, and it enhances.
So, here are some specifics about the Miracle Vest.
The Miracle Vest is specially designed to reveal your sexiest self, reducing inches from the waistline, lifting the breasts and flattening the midsection. As an added benefit, it provides superior back support while improving posture. Exquisite details like adjustable back straps put you in total control, just the way you like it. Made with Squeem’s Intelligent Fabric technology.
Listed are some claims made by Squeem regarding the Miracle Vest and I’ll discuss how it really performs in comparison.
1. Special design smoothes midsection while emphasizing natural curves
2. Underarm design lifts the breasts and provides extra control
3. Offers excellent back control
4. Adjustable straps for added comfort
5. Internal flexible boning prevents garment roll-up
I must say that all of the above statements are true to a tee. My two favorite features about this vest are the internal boning and the breast lift. I have struggled with shape wear that rolls down on you as soon as you sit or bend. With this vest, there was no chance of that happening. It stayed right for as long as I had it on and I did multiple jumping jacks just to test this lol. The breast lift is pretty amazing too. Its like a temporary boob job and that has to be one of its best perks lol. Another thing I love about this vest, it does not lose its control over time. I have tried products that stretched out after a couple of wears but with this vest, I have worn it many times since receiving it and it is still just as sturdy as it was when I first tried it.
To round up this review, I must give the most important detail when it comes to shapewear, comfort level. How comfortable is the Miracle Vest?  It is very comfortable providing you get the right size. It comes in sizes XS to 5XL so you definitely have a range to choose from. Squad products are also carried by Fashion to Figure and Eloquii, among others.
Personally, I love the Miracle Vest. It does all that I need a shapewear to do. The only con that I can think of is the fact that I can’t wear it underneath anything with a revealing back or anything sleeveless. Other than that, on a scale of one to ten, it is an eight for me.
