Swinging It.

Happy Saturday guys! Hope your week went by as planned and wishing you a great week ahead.
Don’t you just love a good ole swing dress? I know I do! It is one of the most versatile pieces in a lady’s wardrobe. It can very easily be dressed up or down and still retain that effortlessly chic look. Throwing a moto jacket over a swing dress gives it an easy transformation. For a casual look, try wearing a sweater over it for spring. And the best part of a swing dress, the comfort level is unbeatable. If you are yet to own a swing dress, do try one.

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Wednesday!
Another thing I’m really loving right now is, anything see through. I know some ladies tend to stay away from this trend because it has the potential of revealing too much, but it can be classy when done just right. When wearing anything see through, my aim is to reveal a hint of skin and not the whole kit and caboodle. To me, the hint of skin is more sexy and sophisticated.

TWO TONED

Happy Sunday!
Culottes have definitely made a comeback in recent years. The days of them being mummy shorts are long gone and now everyone is rocking them, myself included. Part of their appeal has to be the effortless chicness of a good looking culotte. I decide to play on the dressy aspect of this culotte and paired it with  this amazing color block jacket and stripped sweater. But I can just easily pull it off with a denim shirt for a casual flare or pair it with a colorful tee or tank. Try a culotte this spring and you just might be surprised by how much you’ll love it.

Happy Wednesday guys!
I was contacted by Fashion to Figure recently for a feature in their new series The Look of…
For this feature, I styled three different looks from FTF and also talked a little bit about fashion.  Click Here to check out the feature and interview. This dress might actually be one of my favorite dress this year. I love the drape of the fabric and the lace detail, beautiful. Paired with a denim jacket, my casual fun day look was complete.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Too Glam To Give A Blank

Happy Monday everyone!

Really loving this warm, spring-like weather we’re having and desperately hoping its here to stay! This red moto jacket is one of my spring pleasures and pairing it with a faux leather skirt was my way of keeping true to the badassedness (not a word, I know) of the jacket. Pairing it with a simple tee adds some fun to the look.

Hope you had a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Happy weekend!
It’s been raining cats and dogs here on my side of the universe, but I’ll take the rain in a fifty degree temperature over sun in a twenty degree temperature anyday!
I managed to snag on of these checkered dusters from Ashley Stewart before they completely sold out and I tell you, i walked out of the store feeling victorious for landing it. Dusters are my favorite things right now and I can’t get enough of them. The effortless chicness and versatility of a duster is right up my alley.

Happy Monday!
Since the weather has taken such a drastic turn, I am all about lightweight jackets and blazers right now. This one I picked up Here. It features a draped neckline which I love right now, and it is actually subtly animal printed.
I made this crop skirt set recently and couldn’t wait for warmer temperatures to whip it out. I made it from a gorgeous ankara fabric which fitted right into my love for the various shades of blue. I paired this look with an another ankara clutch purse that I also made last summer.

RUE107: The Peacock Collection

Hello guys!
Today’s post is all about Rue107.
I was recently contacted by Rue107 and I must admit that although I was already familiar with this retailer as I have seen some of my favorite bloggers and personalities rocking their designs, I had no idea of the history behind the brand that is Rue107
Rue107 is an online retailer (not an online boutique) that launched four years ago though they just relaunched Curves in the Fall of 2014. As a brand, Rue107 designs and manufactures their line from concept to finished product and their designs have been worn by celebrities such as Beyonce, Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj, Ashanti, and the list does go on.
So, I was sent three looks from one of their top selling prints the Peacock collection which features the Tropical Peacock, the Golden Peacock and the Pink Peacock.
This catsuit definitely has me feeling straight out of Bay Watch (in a good way). The Print is stunning and vibrant, definitely made to stand out.
Check out some more designs from the Tropical Peacock print Here

I chose to wear this crop top and high waisted skirt like a dress just because that is my favorite way to pair a body concious skirt and top. I really like this pair just because its a 2 in 1. A dress when you need it and separates when you want it.
Check out some more designs from the Golden Peacock print Here

This print is out for the Spring and its so gorge! I think I drooled a bit when I saw it. Love the mock neck.
Check out some more designs from the Pink Peacock print Here
My overall thoughts on this collection, stunning, beautiful, quality. The fabric choices are quality and definitely chosen with the curvy woman in mind. The print is so striking, you are quaranteed second looks and compliments with it on.
Rue107 has something for everyone and you will not be disappointed. Their swimsuits are also to die for with beautiful designs. If you want to be a wallflower and blend in, definitely do not check them out because in a Rue107 outfit, you will stand out in a crowd for sure.
Thanks for stopping by!
Kisses, Olà
