Extravaganza.

Hello everyone!
So, I’ve been trying to branch out of my comfort zone lately to try new things. One of which would be jumpsuits. I usually do not wear them or even when I do, I am extremely picky about the style, the cut, the fit, the pattern and I could go on.
This particular one caught my eye in a good way, just because it is so effortlessly chic. All I had to do was basically put on some shoes and that was that. How many outfits can you say that about?

The Bodysuit & High Waisted Pants

Hello guys! Cheers to the freaking weekend!
As a woman who has been plus sized mostly all of her life, there are certain fashion facts that I have become accustomed to unfortunately, until recently that is. Our generation has already become known for breaking the mold when it comes to what plus size women should look like, dress like or act like.
Just a couple of years ago, I would have had no hopes of finding a fashionable bodysuit for myself and if I really wanted one so badly, I would have had to get creative and maybe would have made do with a one piece swimsuit, out of a lack of choice.
Thank goodness for plus size women breaking out of the ridiculous mold that we had been carved in. But due to this, most plus sized women are the most creative when it comes to fashion. We can make magic happen with whatever we find.
And this mini rant is due largely to this Biltmore bodysuit by FTF. It is pretty remarkable. I love it for various reasons but the major reason is, the versatility. You can transition this from day to night very easily. I paired mine with a relaxed high waisted pant from Lane Bryant and of course, an oversized coat.

Furry.

Hello everyone!
For those of you in the crazy weather areas, hope you’re staying warm and keeping out of the cold when you can. I, myself cannot avoid the weather even if I wanted to because of the nature of my job. But it hasn’t been horrible on my end of the country so fingers crossed that it stays that way.
I am waiting with bated breath for spring to spring forth. But while I am literally counting the days, I am also trying my best to enjoy this winter weather as much as I can because I do love winter fashion. Speaking of winter fashion, this furry coat is to die for! And the best part about it, even though it doesn’t look it, is that it is toasty warm. Got it at Old Navy for a steal during the black Friday deals and I am loving this coat so much, I have been wearing it everywhere. Hopefully, people will not begin to describe me as “the girl with the mint coat”, although that would not be a bad description.
I paired it with my black and white mock neck swing dress from FTF. This dress is super duper short but I just couldn’t pass it on. And since I love the same length dress & jacket combo, it was a winner.

Thanks for stopping by! And be safe out there!

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Something Printed

Hello everyone!
The countdown is almost coming to an end and I decided to style something that we don’t usually see for Valentine’s Day, prints! I love wild, vibrant prints and this dress by Fashion to Figure embodies all that. This dress is divine! It really was made for the figure of a plus size woman. The draping is placed strategically so it emphasizes and minimizes where it should.
Pair with a nude heel for a more polished look or go all out with mixed prints for a more striking look.

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Something Romantic

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a great week so far.
Well, the D-day is almost here and if you want to go with something romantic, you can never do wrong with lace. The glimpse of skin underneath can be sexy without being too revealing. This dress by Torrid features a lace neckline and sleeves with ruching on the sides which helps to accentuate your curves. This dress is definitely one of my favorite LBD because it doesn’t require a lot of styling.  Pair with your favorite heels, Spanx, and a necklace of your choice (or you can skip this step) and you’re ready to go.

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Something Edgy

Hi everyone!
I know the super girly previous post is not everyone’s cup of tea. And for my girls on the other side of the fence, this one’s for you. This look is glam and edgy with the simplest of efforts. Just a bustier top with an asymmetrical skirt and you’re basically good to go. Both the bustier and skirt are from Fashion to Figure but you have lots of options to shop from. Pair these with scrappy sandals and you’re definitely getting lingering glances.
If you choose something edgy, try pairing it with a structured blazer if you want to tone down on the sexy factor.

Hope you’re enjoying the Valentines Day lookbook so far, check out the previous posts for more outfit ideas.

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Something Red

Hello loves!
So, whats a Valentine’s day lookbook without a good ole red dress? and I found the perfect one at Torrid. Its very classic, girly and gives off a pinup vibe that I love. Usually, I lean away from red dresses for Vday just because its so expected but this dress is an exception to the rule.
If you decide to go with a red dress for your outing, stay away from trendy, in style pieces and try something classic instead, you can never go wrong with that.

Valentine’s Day Lookbook: Something Casual

Hey guys, hope you’re having a great day so far.
When putting this lookbook together, I asked for requests and one of the requests I received was for a casual look for going to the movies.
Though casual, I still wanted something glam that will definitely warrant a second look from your Valentine and this high low top from Fashion to Figure will definitely do that. A destroyed denim is sexy at any given day but I really like the relaxed feel and look of this one by Ashley Stewart. I chose to pair this look with my favorite pair of nude pumps just because you cannot go wrong with one of those but you can definitely chose to go with flats.
So if going casual and chill this Valentine’s Day, try some of these tips.

Valentine’s Day LookBook: Something Glam

Hello guys!
So, its finally here! I’m really excited to share this Valentine’s Day look book with you guys. It was a bumpy ride trying to get this off but I decided to just go with the flow and work with what I had available.
For look one, I went with something glam which is an evening gown I had custom made awhile ago. I absolutely love sequins and this animal print sequin fabric had me at hello. I went with a minimal design just because the fabric is already a stand out piece on its own.
This look for Valentine’s Day is definitely for something fancier than your average dinner. So if you have plans for the day, try a sleek, polished and formal look.

More looks coming up soon and thanks for stopping by!

Showing Skin: High Slit Skirt & Cold Shoulders

Hi everyone!
It has been a long week of not blogging just because I have been having issues with my internet connection at home. It really makes me wonder what we did before the world wide web came into existence! I am currently posting this from my local library since it seems like my wireless provider has no time for me this week.
Anywoo, as you guys know I love skirts and this piece from Torrid is a new favorite of mine. It features a high low kind of feel with side gathers.  I decided to pair it with this sexy cold shoulder top from Fashion to Figure. Lastly, the coat is another one of my thrifted finds, and  I must say, it is one of the best! It is ridiculously warm! It has such a luxurious look and feel and I do not even want to know what the original price was lol.
Word of advice, do not overlook your local thrift stores when shopping for timeless pieces. Some of them are hidden treasures just waiting to be plucked!
