Spring in the winter: Florals and a blazer

If someone had told me two days ago that the weather would make a drastic change from the 20’s to the 60’s, I would said they were joking for real because the cold seemed like it would last forever in its intensity. But yesterday, I opened up my window to such lovely weather the type that I haven’t felt in a long while. So I decided to utilize it because there is no telling when the cold shall return.
I paired up this Asos legging with a simple black tee and one of my thrifted blazers. I particularly like this blazer because of its heavy fabric and clean cut. The color doesn’t really pop out on camera but it is a lovely pale yellow color and I though it highlighted the legging appropriately.
By the way, nobody is happier than I that low heels are coming back in style these days. Low heels, I can do and I love compared to the tall heels. I mean, I’ll wear them but I always have a pair of flats in my purse for when they get tiring. But with my low heels, I can wear them all day and barely feel a pinch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely, sun filled week!

Out in the snow: Studs and a cape

The weather has been freezing over here lately, going out has become something of an inconvenience. But I have found that with the right layering skills, dealing with the cold is not so horrible. My roomie and I were craving some sushi on Friday and decided to hit up a local Japanese restaurant introduced to me by Vivi of Heart, print and style (thanks girl!) The sushi there is pretty much amazing and since I am a newbie sushi lover, I think they will be seeing me on the regular there.

This PU leather cardigan is a treasure I found at my local Kmart! So is the cape. Their Love Your Style plus size line is pretty okay. They have a lovely collection of tops, jeans and if you’re lucky, cute blazers.

Thanks for stopping by! And have a lovely week ahead.

Go camo go: Jeweled collar & arm candy

Hello lovelies! the camo trend is one I’m currently favoring. Especially since I had no difficulty finding the perfect one for my body type. I got this piece from Old Navy (despite the bad reviews) and let me tell you, I love it! The fabric is sturdy enough to keep out the cold but still light enough for me to wear during the warmer days. And for the icing on the cake, I got this bad boy for less than $20! Is that a steal or is that a steal?!

The camo look is usually pulled off as a casual look but I decided to step it up a notch and go for a more polished, casual look with the bedazzled shirt underneath the sweater. This gave me extra warmth as well because it was near freezing. But you can definitely try this look with just a slouchy sweater, skinny jeans and  some flats for the casual look.

I recently decided to take the time out and make some arm candy for myself. Sometimes it really makes no sense to buy mass produced jewelry while I’m a jewelry designer so i decided to make some for me. I made a total of 10 pieces and lets just say arm candy indeed! I’ll do a post on them soon.

P.S: Photo credits go to Vivi of Heart, print and style.

It’s been long…Basic sweater & Cobalt heels

.
Hello everyone!!! I know, I know, it’s been ages! Close to a year now since I took my sabbatical to focus more on my studies and I have good news to share with you all! I did it, I FINALLY graduated! Yep, I graduated this past December with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It’s been a long time due and I feel so relieved that its over! Thank you so much to everyone who sent me messages and inquired after my well being. I love you guys and I am so glad to return to the world of the fashionistas!

The weather has been ridiculously cold these days and in such weather, its a little hard and sometimes difficult to be fashionable and warm at the same time. But I am such a believer in layering! Underneath it all, I have on multiple layers (though they are not visible lol)

One trend I’ve been loving this winter is the good ole sweater. Its such an underrated piece that can be so chic when worn the right way. I paired with with a simple jegging, a pop of color with the cobalt heels and some flashy jewels.

I’m so excited to be back guys and I’ll be back to making my blog rounds in a bit! So excited to see what you all have been up to. God willing, now that I have extra time I’ll get into posting pictures often.
P.S: Happy new year!!!
